Time Out Chicago Assignment - Cleaning Cloud Gate
Florentiono Cabrales uses a telescoping pole with a brush to clean "Cloud Gate" in Chicago's Millennium Park while a group of students admire the sculpture on Monday, September 14, 2009. The sculpture is washed two times a week and takes anywhere between 45 minutes to and hour to clean.
Cabrales uses special cleaning cloth to polish "The Bean" while a group of onlookers make a picture in the reflection at Chicago's Millennium Park.

The other night I went out to an opening reception: Violent Realities the work of Chicago based photojournalists Jon Lowenstein and Carlos Javier Ortiz. Powerful imagery along with video storytelling and extended captions...although the photographs speak for themselves directly...unfiltered pictures of violence...makes me wonder why the media censors so much of REALITY?
